Technical Team Lead / Manager of Web Development
I took over the Technical Team Lead of Online Banking Web development in May 2011. This was a massive project as they were changing the back end of the entire bank to SAP and creating a service orientated architecture. My role was to interface with the vendor that was developing the new ATB web site and transfer the knowledge and responsibilities to the team I was leading. There were two site that I was responsible for: atbonline.com and atbonlinebusines.com. They each had their own code base for UI components but fed into a single product that communicated to SAP services product.
There was four months before go live when I started and it required many hours to do code review, system setup and testing. We went live September 4, 2011. Since then we have done all the transfer of knowledge from the vendor, fixed all defects found, and started on the list of enhancements.
The technologies that we used are:
- Windows Server 2008 (C#)
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- Visual Studio
- Fiserv Voyager
Most of the communication between the code layers was done with WCF and Web Services though some were still communicated through DCOM and MSMQ.
I led a team of 6 people including:
- 2 Senior Developers
- 2 Junior Developers
- 1 System Analyst
- 1 Business Analyst
